Rivendell Warriors

Rivendell Warriors are the protectors of the elven valley Rivendell, waiting for the moment when they will ride out in glory one last time to rid Middle-Earth of all evil.

Spawning

Rivendell Warriors can spawn any time of the day, only within the Rivendell or Rivendell Hills biomes.

Behavior

Rivendell Warriors will attack any player or creature aligned with an evil faction, which due to their location, generally means Gundabad units. They generally wander around aimlessly when they are not fighting enemies.

Equipment

Rivendell Warriors fight enemies with a Rivendell Bow and a random Rivendell melee weapon, which are only the sword and spear at the moment. When hired they have full armor(some unhired warriors spawn without helmets), making them afforable and very strong combat units, although the alignment requirment is quite high.

Hiring

They can be hired for 50 coins from a Rivendell Captain when one's alignment is >=400 with the High Elves.

Strategy

When fighting Rivendell Warriors or any other ranged enemy, a shield is extremely useful to block arrows.
Fighting Elven Warriors is almost always a bad idea: They have a strong ranged attack and full armor, so if you want to fight them, you better bring an army.
If you are fighting larger numbers, try to draw them towards you one by one, as a large group can overwhelm you with arrows very quickly.

Lore

The Rivendell Elves are Noldorin Elves who dwell in Rivendell, home of the Lord Elrond. They are more ancient than the Wood-Elves and Galadhrim, and are great warriors and loremasters.
