Rivendell Smith

The Rivendell Smith is a trader that specializes in Rivendell Armour and Tool/Weapons, found in Rivendell Smithys, which fly a blue and white flag like the Rivendell Captain Tower.

Spawning

The Rivendell Smith spawns in the Rivendell Smithy, which randomly generates inside the Rivendell Biome.

Behavior

The Rivendell Smith will not attack any player or creature until they are attacked. They wander around their smithy when not be traded with. Upon death, a silver coin will float above the ground where they died, signifying that they will respawn here after a short period of time.

Equipment

The Rivendell Smith fight enemies with a Blacksmith's Hammer. They have no armor, making them easy kills, although the hammer's high damage and knockback could take an unarmored player by surprise.

Trading

Smiths will not trade with players unless they have +100 alignment with High Elves. Upon trading with them, the player will be bestowed the advancement "Armament of Imladris".

Rivendell Smiths sell the goods of their trade. This includes Rivendell and Imladris armor and Rivendell equipment. They also can sell the Rivendell crafting table and Banner Pattern.

Rivendell Smiths buy many supplies, such as ingots and gemstones.

Strategy

There is no need to fight a Rivendell Smith, but if you do, it is easy to kill them with a longer weapon such as a spear, or with a bow, since they don't have a ranged attack.

Lore

The Rivendell Elves are Noldorin Elves who dwell in Rivendell, home of the Lord Elrond. They are more ancient than the Wood-Elves and Galadhrim, and are great warriors and loremasters.
